September 19, 2004 - In 2004, College
Sports Exposure featured high school softball players that hit home runs out of
the park when filming their videos. All of these "2004 Home Run Derby
Winners" were signed and played NCAA Div. 1 softball except for Jenna
Kubesch who signed and played Div. 2. Apparently, these college coaches saw the same potential that
College Sports Exposure witnessed when I filmed them.
Those "2004 Home Run Derby Winners" were Jenna Kubesch (Georgia
College and State University) from Weimar, Sharonda Mc Donald (Texas A&M
Signee) from Dobie High School, Becki de la Garza (Southeastern Louisiana
University) from Clear Brooke High School and Dee Jay Nelson (University of
Texas at Arlington) from Rayburn High School. Sharonda, Becki and Dee Jay
all played for the Mystixxs coached by Ricky Garza.
This Fall (2004), College Sports Exposure has already filmed four juniors who will graduate in May
2006 that hit home runs out of the park.
Emily Blackburn hit 4 home runs out of the Bear Creek Park when College
Sports Exposure filmed her video. Emily plays high school softball with
Kingwood High School and travel team
ball with Texas Eclipse coached by Ken Glass. Emily hit two homeruns out
of the park against Baytoen in a single high school play-off game last spring. She hit three home runs out of the park at AFA Nationals this
summer in Beaumont.
Courtney De la Rosa also 4 home runs out of a high school park in
Austin, Texas. Courtney
pitches for Cameron Yoe High School and plays Short Stop for Centex Babes.
Courtney is also fast. She ran from home to home with contact in 11:96
seconds when College Sports Exposure filmed her video.
Elena Crabtree hit 4 homeruns out of the Magnolia Softball park.
Elena is a pitcher for M.C. Elite and 4A Montgomery High
School.
Delanie Sloan hit 5 homeruns out of the Bear Creek Park when College
Sports Exposure filmed her video. Delanie is a catcher and utility player
for Bellville High School.
Courtney Bridges hit two homeruns out of the Humble High School Park when
College Sports Exposure filmed her video. Courtney is a pitcher for the
Humble Cobras and New Caney High School. At the Ronald McDonald Tournament
(2004), Courtney's curve ball was clocked at 65 mph. College Sports
Exposure clocked Courtney's fast ball at 63 mph during her film session.
