Houston Area Qualifies 10 of 12 Texas ASA Gold
Teams for ASA Gold Nationals in Salinas, California

- Texas will be represented at 2005 ASA Gold Nationals during the week of August 8 to 14 in Salinas,
California by twelve teams. Ten of the twelve teams are from the Houston area. Texas Impact Gold coached
by Stoney Burke qualified for this year's tournament by placing 3rd at last years Nationals. Houston Power
coached by John Glowacz qualified at a Georgia ASA Gold Qualifier early in June.
Texas Blast Gold coached by Robert Verde, South Texas Mystixxs coached by Ricky Garza, Texas High Voltage
coached by Todd Morris and Cy-Fair Intruders coached by Dan Johnson qualified at the Texas ASA Gold
Sector Qualifier in Cypress, Texas at Dyess Park in early June. Texas Blast Gold went undefeated in winning the
tournament.
Texas Storm coached by Ronn Dixon and Texas Eclipse coached by Ken Glass won the ASA Gold Regionals held
in Dallas, Texas in early July. Ronn's team is the youngest Texas team to qualify for the 2005 ASA Gold Nationals.
His team is composed of only 2006 and 2007 players. All of the other qualifying teams have some 2005 and
2004 players. Texas Magic from Missouri City, Sudden Impact coached by Pete Kirchberg, Texas Storm coached
by Larry Durham and Rapid Fire from Flower Mound, Texas coached by Brian Menefee were the other teams that
qualified.
