Treybig Wins 2 in the Gene Cusic Collegiate
Classic in Ft. Myers
Larissa Treybig won two games for the University of Bridgeport in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Ft. Myers, Florida. U of B beat Mount St. Joseph 10-2 in Larissa's first outing of the spring season. She threw a 1-hitter and had six strike-outs. Larissa kept the Mount St. Joseph team off-balance with a blend of drops, rise balls, screw balls, curves and fastballs.

Larissa also helped the offensive attack by scoring a run. She had a single and two walks.
Larissa started the next game against Slippery Rock and took the loss. Valerie Steen pitched relief.
Larissa picked up her 2nd win of the tournament against Northern Kentucky
(2-1). U of B's catcher, Becky Hicks hit a

solo home run in the gap between left fielder and center fielder to tie the game at 1-1. In the 7th inning, U of B loaded the bases and Northern Kentucky walked in the final run. Larissa help her cause with a single in that 7th inning. She finished the game with 2 strike-outs and allowed only 4 hits. Northern Kentucky's run was un-earned.
