Sept. 2, 2001 - Sami Sullivan and Lee Lara join Brittany Tuck, Beverly Rowan, Leianne Pettus and Brook Bogdanski as the only players to hit home runs over the fence in a filming session by College Sports Exposure. College Sports Exposure
filmed Sami Sullivan at the Missouri City Softball complex. Sami hit 3 home runs out of the park, hit the top of the fence and bounce another over for a double. Sami is a pitcher, 1st baseman, 3rd baseman and outfielder for Texas Speed 18U Gold managed by Wes Linnenbank. In High School softball, Sami pitches for the Santa Fe Indians. Lee Lara hit 3 home runs out of the park at the New Territory Sports Complex outside of Sugar Land. Lee hit the fence numerous times and also bounced one over the fence for a double. Lee catches and plays outfield for the Montogomery County Elite 18U ASA Gold. Lee has a 3.5 GPA and is ranked 61 out of a class of 211 at Navasota High School. Lee has been selected the Softball MVP at Navasota High School the past 3 years. She was a First Team District 18-4A selection in 2001. Lee is the
Career Home Run Leader in Navosota History. She was ranked 5th in Houston area 4A
batting in 2001.
