Texas Peppers Blast Las Vegas in Sparkler Pool Game

June 30, 2004 - In the Sparkler in Westminister, Colorado, Texas Peppers Gold met Las Vegas Blast in a 2:35 pm pool game at the Christopher Complex. Texas Peppers got on the score board in the 2nd inning. Designated hitter Amy Varner singled up the middle. Deanna Williams replaced Amy at first. 3rd basmean Emily Blackburn drew a walk. Both base runners advanced a base on a wild pitch. This put runners on 2nd and 3rd base. Shannon Crooks then singled to left center bringing in both runners for a 2-0 lead. Kim McDonald then hit a hard line drive to the 2nd baseman for out No. 1. Allison McClain hit a fly to deep right field, but the right fielder drop stepped back and made a spectacular catch. Short stop Randi Stuard hit a hard line drive to the Blast third baseman for out no. 3.

Katelyn Bright and Emily Blackburn added hits to the Texas Peppers Gold hitting attack. Katelyn singled up the middle in the 3rd inning. Emily Blackburn hit a line drive single up the middle in the 4th inning.

The 2 runs in the 2nd inning was all the Texas Peppers Gold needed since Kim McDonald shut out Las Vegas. Kim had two strike-outs and spread-out 4 singles. College Sports Exposure radar Kim pitches at 56 mph.

Christina Jones pitched all 5 innings for the Las Vegas Blast. Christina had no strike-outs and gave-up 4 hits and 1 walk. College Sports Exposure radared Christina between 53 and 56 mph.

Akyssia DeLa Torre, Missy Davenport, and Liz Plese provided the hits for the Las Vegas Blast. Alyssia singled in the 1st and 4 innings. The 4th inning hit was to left field. Missy single to left field in the 2nd inning. Liz singled to left field in the 6th inning.
