Callie Herrington is signing her letter of intent to play softball at Centenary College.

Herrington had 28 hits, scored 21 runs, with nine doubles, while cranking two home runs and was named District 28-2A Defensive MVP. As a freshman, she was named District Newcomer of the Year, after her sophomore season she was named first all-district and Texas Sports Writers Association Honorable Mention Shortstop.

 

The Hallettsville, Texas., native was also a five sport athlete, participating in cross country, basketball, track and volleyball. Away from sports, she was named to the honor roll, along with being the President of the Science Club and Vice President of the Interact Club.

 

“Callie is a very versatile player.  She has great defensive abilities and can play at least six different positions. She also shows great consistency at the plate and seems to get a quality at bat in every plate appearance,” Montgomery stated.
